A Mobius Experience: my take on the Travon Martin case
It became clear to me when Travon Martin’s lawyers said “this case has nothing to do with race.”
I thought, holy moly they’re washing their hands of it. Caught between the Devil and the NRA, the prosecution spun loopholes for Zimmerman to wiggle free and for Florida State Attorney, Angela Corey, to say she tried. They did not stand Travon Martin’s ground as much as they covered their own asses. This case had everything to do with race.
The pundits say “I respect the decision” and then go on to give a hundred reasons why the prosecution lost the case. It doesn’t matter what they say because the jurors were predisposed to find Zimmerman innocent. They lied to get on the jury.
Hillary Clinton, whose husband was declared the first black President by Toni Morrison, a prominent black writer, declared the solution to racial injustice lies in the sisterhood. Was it not a female judge and a jury of six women that let the killer go free? The judge returned Zimmerman’s gun and he went on to minor celebrity for the NRA and Fox TV. Did Hillary not know that Angela Corey is a woman?
Whoever coined the term ‘post racial’ has to be on some kind of mind-altering substance. Did they not see the public insults President Obama had to endure from white supremacist members of Congress? Religion is the opiate of those who walk by faith and not by sight. Justice is blind…and the blind leading the blind is but a mobius experience.
